I am an artist in Denton, TX. I live with my husband and a husky mix, both of whom I adore. I am currently exploring illustration through relief printmaking and having an absolute blast with it. Other interests include video gaming, gardening, and bouncing between playing the sax and learning the fiddle. I run and mountain bike when the weather’s nice, and root for the Cowboys rain or shine. When not being a hermit, I enjoy eating good food and drinking good beer with good people.

Artistic chops: I have a BFA from UNT in Metalsmithing and Jewelry. I spent several years working in production at Reaper Miniatures, then I spent several more teaching visual arts and special ed. at Krum Middle School. I’m grateful to have this eclectic collection of academic, industrial, and pedagogical experiences, and excited to see where the next fork in the road takes me.

This blog is a way for me to document my process as I rediscover craftsmanship and build a personal artistic practice after some time away. I think it’s some pretty cool stuff, maybe you will too.
